Music methods and practical experiences for the teaching of beginning instrumental music in a classroom setting in the public schools. Emphasis on management, discipline, and motivational strategies. Will include the study of all brass, woodwind, percussion and string instruments and materials and instructional strategies appropriate for this level of instrumental instruction. This course is required prior to enrollment in AMMS 114C, AMMS 115C, AMMS 116C or AMMS 117C for all-level music education majors.
