PSYC 378 - Substance Abuse and Dependency

A study of substance abuse, dependency, and treatment, including in the criminal justice system. This will include a survey of legal vs psychological definitions, treatment availability and counseling requirements. Specific focus will be on gaining familiarity with how interventions are being utilized and identifying useful treatment interventions.

Prerequisites: PSYC 235 and junior standing or permission of instructor.
