NURS 432 - Complex Nursing Concepts/Prac II 7 Credit Hours 4 Lecture Hours 9 Laboratory Hours
The second course that focuses on complex nursing concepts related to age specific clients with acute and chronic health alterations, including complex, multi-system health issues such as shock, trauma, transplantation, disaster management. Emphasis is on the impact of communications and life experiences on health status, collaborative management of medications, therapeutic procedures/treatment,restoration and rehabilitation and patient and caregiver education at a higher level of practice. Application includes critical reasoning, skills and judgment in providing nursing interventions and evidence-based practice in acute and critical care areas.
Prerequisites: NURS 340 .
