NURS 430 - Nursing of Childbearing Families 5 Credit Hours 3 Lecture Hours 6 Laboratory Hours
Covers the physiologic and psychological aspects of pregnancy and birth as well as the clinical skills and judgment in assisting families and individuals during childbearing and rearing, health maintenance and promotion. Application of concepts, processes and practice of nursing commonly encountered with individuals and families in the childbearing years, as well as newborns, children and adolescents. Emphasis is on development, culture, family systems structure, variances and dynamics.
Prerequisites: NURS 340 .
