HIST 336 - Family, Sex & Gender In Medieval Eu 3 Credit Hours 3 Lecture Hours 0 Laboratory Hours
In this class, you will explore how gender was understood and experienced in medieval Europe. Our distance in time, space, and culture allows us to get both a deeper and a broader understanding of how gender expectations, sexuality and family practices interacted with other aspects of society. It will also help you develop the skills that historians use working with primary source evidence, researching previous scholarship, and constructing interpretive arguments.
Prerequisites: COMP 131 .
