World history does not mean learning everything about everywhere; that is impossible. Instead, you will study major trends in how human societies developed and interacted up to c. 1500 so that when you encounter new knowledge in the future (world religions, archaeological exhibits, ancient cities, etc.) you can connect that information to your mental framework.

Prerequisites: COMP 131
