EDUC 375 - Teaching ESL in Content Areas

This course addresses content, methods and materials of elementary ESL classroom instruction, including curricula, strategies and materials for meeting the needs of English Language Learners (ELL) in all academic content areas. The evaluation of achievement of the Limited English Proficient (LEP) students as well as the relationship of culture, socialization practices and learning styles is addressed. Requires 10 hours of observation of ESL instruction.

Prerequisites: Admission to the Teacher Education Program; EDUC 374.
