ECON 339 - Growth and Development

A consideration of the historical sources and effects of technological change in today’s industrialized countries and of the role played by government policy, law and culture in this process. An examination of conditions in today’s developing countries and of the process by which they have succeeded or failed to close the economic gap between themselves and the industrialized countries. Population growth and environmental sustainability are also examined.
