CHEM 147 - Principles of Chemistry

An introductory course designed for allied health sciences and pre-nursing students and other non-science majors. This course will cover principles of atomic structure, periodicity, chemical bonding, molecular structure, stoichiometry, states of matter, thermodynamics, acids and bases, concentration, kinetics, and nuclear chemistry. Fundamentals of organic nomenclature and a survey of basic physical and biological properties will also be reviewed.
