PSYC 331 - Empathy for Social Change

A course in which students will develop their empathy skills by interacting with varying populations and areas of social needs. Examples of the interactions include working with the homeless population at Haven for Hope, working with hospice patients at GRMC and care centers for adults with learning challenges. Students will research the areas chosen in class assignments and then take field trips to various facilities to work with populations. Topic areas will change depending upon the instructor. Students must have a schedule flexible enough to accommodate required field trips. Cross-listed as SISE 331 .
