This course aims to provide students with a conceptual and historical overview of genocide from a broad interdisciplinary perspective. The cases highlighted in this course include, but are not limited to: genocide of indigenous peoples, Armenia, the Holocaust, Cambodia, the former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, Congo, Darfur, and Myanmar.

Prerequisites: COMP 131.
