This course will look at how the physical environment has shaped and continues to shape people’s lives and culture in the area under consideration. While the course is tailored for educators, particularly those who will be teaching in a bilingual / bicultural environment, it will benefit all students interested in human culture, the environment, and the interaction of the two.

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing.
